“We pretend we are Christians.”

I recently stumbled across this article that contained a letter from an Agnostic who pretends to be a Christian so that her children are not ostracized. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this.  Here are a few discussion starters:

1. What message are the Christians sending?
2. Do you think this is isolated to the Texas community where this lady lives?
3. What do you think is the motivation for the Christians who won’t allow there children to associate with her children?
4. What effect do you think this has on the children of the Christians, the children of the Agnostics and the adults involved in the situation?
5. Can you think of any passages in the Bible that may apply to this situation?
